This book is fantastic as far as truly dipping your fingers into the ancient magic of the Egyptians and their deities. In a few short chapters you will learn pronunciations of the Deities names, pick up keywords and how to spot hieroglyphs. In the next few chapters you learn how to set up and altar or shrine, but it doesn’t go into a great amount of detail, because you should know how already. How to cast the circle and call the quarters, with an Egyptian flare on normal pagan practices. Its a brilliant book. The final section which is quite large are texts taken from the coffin texts and the book of the dead, all describing a particular god or goddess. Its a brilliant companion to the average wiccan/pagan book, one you will defiantly enjoy.
For me, I fell in love with it straight away. I read it from cover to cover within the space of a week, making notes here and there, and I find I often look to it for ideas and inspiration. Its a good book, but I may have to buy another copy… It looks well loved! Haha!

Hey. I love the new blog. This book is great, I did find it to be a little to reconstructed or kemetic rather than more modern tameran wicca. Still it is a great foundation and great for inspiration when starting on an Egyptian path.
