This is a reasonable sized book that sits nicely on your desk or shelf so you can refer to it straight away. Its a very easy book when it comes to referring to a particular God or Goddess as they are listed in part of their numerical groupings, dyads which where groupings of two, triads, tetrads, pentrads etc. The great Ennead, daily deities, hourly deities and popular deities.
Along with the knowledge you’ll gain from each deity, which happens to be hundreds, you can pick up colour associations and other symbolism. You get a historical view of how these Gods and Goddesses were honoured. If you think about it, a book like this can not only give you understanding of particular Gods, their individual stories and the connection of the stories that travelled the world, throughout time. With basic knowledge of Wicca for exapmle, setting up an Egyptian style altar needn’t be hard. Just flick through the book, find the God, find the colours most associated with that God, like Anubis and black. There you have it, an altar cloth or candle!
So far, this book is fantastic, mind you its a history book not a pagan book! I don’t have any problems with it at all. So yay! 10/10
